Seeing as next Thursday is Thanksgiving (how did that happen?!) I thought I should post some dreamy outfit ideas for the upcoming trio of holidays, all around the theme of spotted dresses.

dresses and outfits for the holidays
pin it dose of dash

Look 1: Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is likely the first time you’ve seen your family in a while so you’ll want to look good while feeling comfortable enough to stuff your face. This holiday is the epitome of fall so I’ve chosen a cozy outfit with an embellished collar, contrasting black & white patterns and a forest green necklace (to go underneath the collar) as an accent color. The bag is big enough to hoard the leftovers (just kidding) and the shoes make the dress a little sexier.

  • Dress: Moschino
  • Bag: Slow and Steady Wins the Race
  • Booties: Sergio Rossi

Look 2: Christmas

For this look I’ve gone 40’s glamour. All the shapes in this outfit are classic and universally flattering — a cinched waist, leg-elongating pumps, drop earrings. The red dress and the green earrings are festive without being over the top. I love all the different textures in this outfit — the shiny smoothness of the earrings and patent bag, the sweetness of the printed cotton dress, and the luxury of the velvet court pumps. The clock embroidered on the front of the shoes makes for a playful detail.

  • Earrings: Irene Neuwirth
  • Dress: Oscar de la Renta
  • Bag: Marc Jacobs
  • Pumps: Charlotte Olympia

Look 3: New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve should be a little bit sexier but you’ll need a slimming look after two months of gorging on sweets and savories. This LBD is tailored to accentuate the smallest part of the waist and then flairs out top and bottom for an hourglass look — a shape that is flattering for all women. The spotted bag plays off of the bigger dots on the dress while adding layers of texture and the stand out finishing touches are a gold embroidered bib necklace and killer suede booties in magenta.

  • Necklace: Oscar de la Renta
  • Dress: Kenzo
  • Bag: Paula Cademartori
  • Booties: Sergio Rossi
